Our semi-automatic softening system is a water softener that uses cation resin and sodium chloride to soften the water. This process involves exchanging calcium and magnesium ions in the hard water with sodium ions. The calcium, magnesium and carbonate are absorbed by sodium in the exchange tank to remove hardness.

 Semi-automatic softening system is an ideal combination of hard water softened by a high degree of hardness, calcium and magnesium in the resin removes carbonate hardness to achieve softening water.

• Pre Chlorination: The Raw water will be chlorinated / disinfected by means of dosing Sodium Hypochlorite to prevent future infection
• Dual Media Filter: The raw water is first passed through a Dual Media filter to reduce the suspended solids and organic matter present in the raw water. Dual media filter bed consists of Carbon and Sand media. The filter will have to be washed with the help of raw water for 10 to 15 mins daily. This filter is provided to keep a check on the suspended solids.
• Softening: The filtered water from the filtered water tank will be fed to the one bed softener. The one bed softener consists of a cation exchanger unit. In the strong acid cation exchange Na-type the resin bed is regenerated with NaCl. The Ca++ and Mg++ ions present in the water are exchanged with Na+ ions available in the resin and water is softened
